And then there are just Americans.
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You Call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey,"
"Whitey," "Caveman" ... and that's OK.
But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... you call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP.
You have BET.
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) ... we'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day .. you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month .. we'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives ...
we'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships ... you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were "White colleges" ...
THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride ... you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society ... you call him a racist.
I am proud. But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists?
There is nothing improper about this!

Why don't more people stand up, a question that I always ask myself when I'm pissed off because of the political correctness and other bull shit. I was raised in border towns, I had Mexican friends and I had Negro friends,,, they called me white boy and I called them niggers and Mexicans , it was all done without malice or negative inference. Thers nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, nothing wrong with being a Negro... but they are ashamed of the word so they prefer to be called African Americans? I am white, and at times I have been proud of the fact. and other times ashamed. It's a strange old world that we live in at present. Biggest problem as I see it, is not race it, but religion. I am an atheist, so to see folks fighting over who's imaginary friend is the best, is amusing. It will not be amusing however when the Islamic movement becomes more violent world wide.
Living in Canada as I do, we are told by our government that we should welcome immigrants without question which has made us the laughing stock of the world. Canada accepts 68% of all refugee claimants where in the USA it is only 17%. Good for the US. In Toronto, 20, second generation young Islamic men were arrested with 3 tons of nitrate fertilizer in their possession for the purpose of making a bomb and yet we deny that these fanatics mean us no harm....WAKE UP WORLD.
Although I don't always agree with you, you have a great site. Please keep up your good work.

Hello...I just read your "Proud To Be White" Poem!! I LOVED it!! Thank you. Not so many now days are courageous enough to write about how proud they are of their race! I am Choctaw and White! Half of each and just as proud of one as the other!
I live in Louisiana. 55 miles from where the "Jena Six" live! That bunch of idiots have turned our part of the country into a miserable place to live lately because they have involved Jesse Jackson...Al Sharpton and any other black leader that would listen. All because 6 black teens jumped one white boy and beat him nearly senseless. 
I just wanted to share that with you since at the end of your poem...You invited anyone that was proud to be white to write to you! So...I have wrotten! And I thank you for listening...

I am not going into any elaborations on the subject. I think you forgot the fact that you were not the first people here on American soil. Unless you classify the Indians as not humans. This country, the country where I was born in 1959 as an African American (black), was built on deceit, lies and selfishness (Christopher Columbus and his criminal-ass-self). We were brought here by your laziness and filthy nasty habits. Unfortunately, my great great grandfather was white. He was a white plantation overseer. My great great grandmother was raped by him as a young girl and thus begot my great grand-father. This was very common in the South. Hell, I might even be related to you. Kind of scares you huh? To be quite honest and frank...You really do not know what it is really like to be called minority. When ever there is segregation there is separation and disorder. Unfortunately, we Americans have created a society that can not and will not ever be united as one country. Our founding fathers thought it would be a good idea to unite all people regardless of status, education, religion, and color. We have chosen to separate ourselves by disrespecting each others status, education,religion, and color. The United States of America is only the name of the land we live in. When our local, state, and federal laws are independent from each other, we simply can see the separation in our country.
If you study the history of Gods Church you will also see something very similar to what has happened to our country. Our founding fathers of Gods Church taught us of one Church established by Jesus Christ.
Ask yourself, why do we have so many different religions when only one was created by God?
Where is that so called church that was established by God?
After our first church leader died, who was given the authority to maintain unity in Gods church?
Who presently has the authority of Gods church today?

What amazes me the most is the fact that even today, 2007, it is unlawful to bring a Christians Bible with your personal effects if you have employment into an Arab Country. I know so since I have moved several very qualified individual who were going over to Arab countries for work an effort to enhance their livelihood. I remember very distinctively that on the items not admitted to the Arab county was a Christian bible and yet we let them built MOSQUES by the hundred. We are doing it to ourselves and they use their own religion in unison to undermine our culture and religion. Then we have people, American people who have the audacity by telling us to get the facts straight. what I am reading here is that blacks call us predgidous for what our ancestors, forerunners and forefathers have done IN THE PAST.  WE did not do these things against them and they still hold all the grudges from their ancestors. Don't they think we (well, I think the majority of us would say so) feel bad for what was done to them? That is a big burden to carry around all these years--drop the extra luggage, live in the present. If you want everything to be equal as it should be, put the past in the past,quit trying to get revenge for something that we did not do to YOU, learn from the past and make a better future for all. Why can't we put it all aside and learn to live together, help each other. We would be a much better Country for it also.

you did know that there never was a so-called civil war/war between the states ( 1861-1864 ) did you not?
In order to have a civil war, one must have two or more warring factions residing in the same country. the south was no longer part of the " united states " when Lincoln ordered an invasion of va. then there is the part where it is ( was ) illegal to form a state from an existing state ( wva ) thus they recognized that va was no longer a member of the united states. then after the cessation of hostilities, the rebellious states were made to apply admittance to the union, again recognizing their non member status. Maryland was put under martial law at once, with her state officials jailed because she was considered a southern state and this would put D.C. in the south. with va seceding, this put the Chesapeake bay under confederate control and therefore wiped out almost all of the north's ports.
WVA was created for strategic reasons, the north funneled troops/material into the south by the way of eastern seaboard and illinios. They needed a third ' landing ' area in the middle so that they could do a three pronged attack on the south. Here is WVA!!

They respected us as well as we did them. Even one family of blacks named a son after my family name. I still respest blacks and expect them to do likewise. I have always been proud of my WHITE heritage…..I grew up 1 ½ blocks from the St. Thomas Projects in the 70’s
when they turned from all WHITE to all BLACK…..I never stood down from anyone and stood up for my beliefs….
I lived across the street from an all BLACK elementary school…..I went there for one year and had a fight with a
white girl which caused a riot with the blacks…..I was asked to leave the school and return to an all white school
because I caused the BLACKS to fight amongst themselves…..I graduated from that school and then returned to
the all white schools that I had planned on going to…..As I told the president of the Orleans Parish School Board
“It is not my fault those idiots started fighting amongst themselves” I was fighting with a WHITE girl…By the time I
graduated from Warren Easton in 1980 all the New Orleans Public Schools as gone all black….I have friends of all
colors and have told them all “If you have a problem with me being WHITE, you need to leave before I smear this
WHITE all over you”…..I am not a prejudice person but I am WHITE AND PROUD OF IT…….

it was. My best friend and myself decided to check it out one night.all I can say is when we walked through the door all we saw was eye balls and teeth. Being the polite person I am we decided to stay and have a drink, we where only there for 15 minutes. Neither my buddy nor myself remember walking out the door only after one drink!! Now how can the black community get the respect they want when they do stupid shit like that. Takes respect to get respect. The slave days where many generations ago...get the fuck over it! Act like a civalized american and they might get somewhere in life!!!

I just found your page and decided to send you my thoughts. A great site by the way, thanks for creating it!
I am not proud to be white. I'm simply a proud white woman. Very similar to my black neighbor who is a proud black woman. What keeps this country fired up about racism is the black community today that is acting out because of their RECENT history. We white 'folk' put the unemployed, unmarried black mothers on welfare because we thought we were doing them a favor. At least that's what the government told us. We're mostly simple white folk, we could believe that.
However, times have changed. We're now told that the welfare system hurt the black community in huge ways. It kept them separate from the working white class, and by doing so it made them 'know' they could only depend on a monthly check and their neighbor. They grew to hate whites in general for their own miserable lives, and weren't educated well enough to learn a better way of life. Yes, we white folks hurt them... all over again!
However, we, black and white folk, understand that now! So, where do we go from here? I don't know because I am a simple woman. But it seems to me that if the black community stopped being a black community and the white community did the same, wouldn't we all talk the same? Wouldn't we all look at one another as just another simple AMERICAN? I'd love to say I'm not prejudiced, but my guess is all Americans have prejudices. I'll speak mine here, and if judged prejudiced, then I guess it is, but know I'll work on it, and hope someone sets me straight.
I see the black community still trying to stay apart from the white community. They try to maintain a certain attitude, a certain walk, a certain talk, a certain music, a certain type of clothing, a certain type of food, etc., ad nauseum! I don't understand that at all. How can a black person expect to be respected at all levels when they continue to not assimilate into the American culture? American culture? What's that? It's certainly a combination of all ancestral homelands, all except maybe the black ancestral homelands. I'd be happy to incorporate into my life some of the black culture, but from what I see now, I'm not sure I want it. I hate rap music, I hate the baggy pants, I hate the way a black woman bobbles her head from side to side yelling out her thoughts to make a point, I hate the way a black man swaggers down the street like he's got no where to go, I hate the way they talk to each other with their own 'language', and I hate seeing in the news, every night, that a black person has hurt another black person in some way.
And I'm not saying this is ALL black people, but SOME, and certainly it's what I'm seeing on TV every night. How can a black man or woman expect me, Ms. Simple White American Woman, to respect these types of differences and separateness? To me, who says to herself, "Self, these black people have been here a long long time, now why are their ways so foreign to me, and why do I just plain ol' don't like nor respect those things?" I don't get it, but I do know this: We've a long way to go and we all need to grow up, love our neighbor and assimilate, assimilate, assimilate!

I am white and I would like to remind everyone that every living person on earth at this time are descended from the few thousand people still alive on earth after the Toba Volcano eruption approximately 75 thousand years ago. It has been determined that skin color is a function solely of climate. That is, if no other blackperson would come to the USA, in 1,000 years there would be no blacks left in the USA. If I were black myself I would be uncomfotable with watching on the news that which goes on in Chad, Darfur, and some of the other African subSahara areas which never seem to advance on their own and continue to let themselves be exploited for centuries by the criminals among themselves and and foreign whites and northern African Arabs. It attempts to happen here but we somehow manage to limit their effect and to create at lest a workable society. I spent two years in the South Pacific during WWII and I made most of the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, New Britain, and the Philippines and I wondered if the hot and damp climate over decades or centuries caused the malaise and lack of ambition or intellectual capabilities. I believe that white pride, black pride, etc. are not helpful attitudes. I also belive that countries where certain groups refuse to assimilate will eventually be looked at as targets for mistreatment due to their us/them attitude, e.g., the Jews and Gypsies  in pre WWII Germany. Immigration was intentionally slowed to a trickle fro ,amy years here intetionally to allow the Irish, Italians, Poles, etc. to assimilate (look at themselves as Americans as opposed to "an Irishman living in America").

I just read your article on 'Proud to be White'. I am from the United States and I wholeheartedly agree with you. The problem, as I see it, is too many people are holding a several hundred year grudge for something our ancestors did. Don't judge me for something my great, great ,great grandfather may or may not have done. Anyone who calls themselves 'african-American', spanish-American', etc. is not a true American. As I read in one of the responses, there has been too much giving with no accountability. If you want something, work for it. If you want a hand out, you're not getting it from me. I have to struggle enough to send my kids to college, pay my own bills and so on. I'm not complaining about my life, but I don't blame the Indians, Mexicans or the Africans for that matter. I am proud to reply. The reason for all of these things in the states is there existed white counterparts that always excluded non- whites. My mom and dad could not get married in California because my mom was white(Hungarian). Now my father's grandfathers were both half white one was a quadroon and the other an Octaroon, but they were still considered black. How is it that white people figured out how to be white and what made you white when the rest of the world did not give a damm. Here in the states at the end of the civil war one third of all the freed slaves had white ancestry, they were considered black....white people made the rule, not the other folks these holidays were a way of affirmation in the face of white supremacy. When I am in Hungary or Cuba no one considers me black, indeed my Hungarian cousins consider me Hungarian, and in Cuba I am shite or Mul;ato...in the states I am black because one drop of black blood makes you black not white. fortunately this is all going into the past, because eevery day in the states is a white day but never in my life did I think I would see a young man like Obama...I am proud of my countrymen for not looking at his color but at his record whioch as a legislator is much more substantial then our sitting President...

Your 100 percent right, I'm sick of the whole thing, if your an American and live in the U.S. then your an American, PERIOD. Everything for the Blacks, just say free, the stampede begins. I am a mixed race. I am 1/2 Native American and 1/2 white(Polish). I have grown up being called names for being Native American. I didn't have friends while growing up because of being Native American. And I can say this much for the white race. They are the ones that stole our land and tried to wipe us out by giving us infested blankets with small pox and other diseases. I know I am proud to be Native American but I can't say I am proud to be white for what was done to the Native Americans. I know alot was done to the Native Americans our language was taken from us but now we are getting our language back and we are learning it and we are teaching our children it. Do I hate the hate white man? I can't say I do hate him but I hate what he did to us and how he tried to elimenate us. We are getting our land back and we are getting some things that belong to us back again. Yes I am very proud to be a Native American. I was taught that by my grandfather that to be proud of my heritage and I am. Yes I do live my life the way the Native Americans did long time ago. I go by the old ways. I am proud to be what I am. I am proud to be Native American. And there is good and bad in every race. Not only in the black as I have read here with everyone's letters. There is good bad in every single race. No race is perfect. Nor is it ever going to be perfect. There is going to be people that hate you if you are black, white, red or yellow. But the ones that hate you are the ones that better take a good look at themselves first. And see if they are perfect. The way I see it no one is perfect and the only one I know that is perfect is the Creator and not anyone else. We all live on this Mother Earth and we all should learn how to live and get along with everyone. Not be fighting among each other. This is what I feel and how I believe.

This is coming from a black man's heart. It's okay to be proud of who you are. But you have to remember the history of a white man showing his proudness. He's cover himself with white sheets and hung many black innocent men for nothing but the color of their skin. He was so proud of being white that he rape many  black women. He was so proud of his race that he denied many people of color to have fair equal employment like him. He was so proud that when he get's with a group of his white friends he wants to go through black neighborhoods and burn down their homes. It's really scary when you see a proud white man...he tends to call people of color out of their names. On the other hand when you see a proud group of black men they are normally somewhere in Church praising the Lord... when you see a proud native american they're dancing to the sound of the drums...proud chinese are showing their culture through many different asian cuisine (foods)and art. White people don't need their own groups this world belongs to them...White Presidents, White Colleges, White Neighborhoods, White Jobs, White own banks...it goes on and on...So don't hate because people of color want to be recognize for who they are. Because if we didn't recognize our acheivement here in America you sure would not give us the praise...you do that right now in certain jobs, blacks work hard and white folks don't even want to acknowledge them. So sure be proud of being white...but stop all the hatred that comes along with it. Sorry but your known in History for hate..It's been proven.

There is a lot of people that believe this is true, but yet still vote Democrat. I was Democrat for over 30 years until I started listening to the truth and not my parents who where voting tradition only. The TRUTH guys and gals is that Liberals vote Democrat for a reason. I am in total agreement with your thoughts on this subject. How ever I do not consider myself white but Euro-American. As for the Mexican Americans, they are in the same class as the Native Americans somewhat. They are for the most part descendents of Native Americans who migrated from Siberia through the land bridge connecting to Alaska then trickled down throughout South America. The United States of America is a nation of immigrants, for the most part Euro Americans. Having racist colleges, "Black Colleges" to me is racist and bigoted, as well as black only orginizations. Maybe the world would be better if we all inter married and became one race.

I would like a few thing known, that I'm sure the Blacks, Negro, or colored do not understand, they were brought to this country by the French, English and the Spanish, and only after they had enough of salves, so they could help work in the cotton and tobacco fields, as the owners would pay for them. The CIVIL WAR was NOT fought for any of their rights as colored, the south did not want for one President to rule their states. Another thing is, if the NAACP wanted their persons to be called black, then why didn't they change there's to NAABP. The only persons that have any right in this country is the Native American (INDIANS), as they have been pushed off of their land, starved, force to march 1000 miles, and if they got sick they were left by the side of the road to die or the US soldier would shoot them, because they were Indians and had no right in this country, If all the blacks think I'm kidding left them read, "BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE," or "CREEK MARY'S BLOOD," these books are by Dee Brown, and then tell me you have more rights then the Indian's. I have one other complaint., What gives your race the right to think, your race is the only one that can use the First Amendment for freedom of speech, as this is used for every thing from burning flags to what ever. I think, it is time for the White's and others to tell your race and the Mexicans enough is enough, this is going to stop. One other thing and the last, what makes your race think, that they were the only slaves in this country, you have a lot to learn, read your history and you will find that The White's had White"S as slaves long before you every came to this country, also when did any of your people every become citizens of the United States of American, I can't find any before the war.

Things have really changed since i was a kid .You have to be black or an illegal or whatever to get free medical,wellfare and social security a college education I'm 82 years old ww-2 & korean vet Retied navy and I'm watching this country being destroyed within.When i can walk through a black neighborhood at 12 o'clock at night without getting mugged that will be a start but it will never happen. I just read your article and as one Black person I must agree with some of what you say. I am a racist as well. You mentioned 60 Black colleges what about the over 2,000 "other colleges and universities in this country". They are White. Yes before you say it, i know Black people can attend some of them. But the fact is this was not possible until the mid 1960's. I will also tell you straight up that if it were not for the majority of Whites being good and decent people, I would still be in slavery.
Having said that, I must tell you that I find Whites that have nothing going for themselves use the race card. That card is the only one they have, simply being White. In this society the main color is "Green". Poor uneducated White people are in the same bag as poor uneducated Black, Latin, Chinese or any other poor uneducated group. The people in power don't give a damn what color you are. The "race problem" is not a problem at all. It is really all in the mind.
Please tell me, what is "White pride"? Most White people haven't really done anything special, nor have most other people for that matter. Most of us just go about our lives and try to make life better for our children. 
Do you think Mr. Don Imus' remarks help make life better for Black women? Those women he called "nappy headed whores" are a hell of a lot smarter then he will ever be. I unlike most Black people, don't give a shit about his remarks if they were said in private. But I do have a problem with the remarks made in a public forum. I know full well you call me a "nigger' in private and that is fine. I call you "poor white trash" all the time. But I would not do so in public. I feel that we must respect each other in public.
Why do White people have a problem with Black people honoring their past? What is really wrong with Black history month. Hell, it is the shortest month in the year anyway. Is there something wrong with any people knowing something about their past. I know more about your "White history" than you do. I had no choice because that was the only history taught in public education. Do you really think that is the way it should be. Is the white race the only race on the planet? This may come as a shock to you but the White race is the minority race on the planet. take a moment and look at a world map. When you take away Europe what do you have left but people of color, many different colors.
I believe that you are sick of hearing about race because until the 20Th century you never considered any other race but yours. Now you have to think about Arabs, Chinese, Indians and all the others. Why? Because it is in these countries that your(our) resources(oil) come from. Not to mention the threats to world peace. 
The bottom line is we all live on one planet and either we will get along or we will destroy ourselves. I don't like White people and you don't like Black people. So now that that is on the table where do we go from here. I sure you don't want your daughter to married a Black man and I don't want my daughter to marry a white man at all. But the fact of the matter is we can only control so much of their lives. Think about the following, ave you noticed that Black people in this country come in all different colors? Why do you think that is? Simply put, it was the White man saying one thing and doing something else. I guess you boys just can't get enough of that Black meat, right? Yet you will deny that. How can you hate a race of people that YOU have polluted with you sperm? We damn sure didn't do that to you. That's why you people are all one color.
Anyway, I am proud enough to write you and I would welcome a dialog with you. Bring it on and tell me why you think you are better than me simply because you are White.

I am very proud to be white. I live in the South and I am proud to be Southern. I am proud of the Confederate flag because of the brave men that died in the war. Black people think it is a racist thing when it isn't. Many black men fought under that flag too and they were not forced to do so. The blacks want Georgia to apologize for slavery. I am so tired of the race card. We have racist black preachers and radio announcers here. One of the radio announcers is being sued for slander. Why should they get away with racist remarks about whites? Why can't we outlaw racist music and the trash talk in their music? I have worked in a restaurant for over 30 years, the blacks are lazy and steal from the boss and the waitresses. I am going to print my name on this cause I am proud to be white.
